Signe Cluiss: What is that bacteria in that petri dish you have in your hand?

Ranga Muthu: It's not bacteria. It's actually a silicon wafer sample - kind of an edged sample. I'm trying to do some fluid displacement studies.

Cluiss: What is the end goal of your project?

Muthu: I'm just trying to understand the physics of contaminants: what happens when you have an oil spill, what happens to the soil system and how it impacts the ground water.

Sarah Krusleski: What is the origin of this painting here (on the first floor of the library)?

Keeli Robinson: I don't know. I read the little caption when I sat down. I'm sure it was a local artist from the Ship Channel or something like that.

Krusleski: How do you feel about sitting next to old people like this?

Robinson: I don't feel weird sitting next to old people.

Dark Knight review

The Battalion, Texas A&M, TX

The mere thought of penning a piece on a film with the amount of buzz and hype that The Dark Knight has garnered has proven to be an overwhelming prospect, to say the least. But for a film that had earned an iconic status in the realm of comic book adaptations and big budget blockbusters months before it even began filming, a project that requested so much of its A-list stars that the chilling prospect exists that it drove a young, now immortalized actor to his premature grave; and a movie that broke every box office record imaginable, the idea that the essence of such a tour de force would be difficult to articulate seems all too appropriate.
